The CBI has taken over the search of a 12-year-old woman from Haryana after the Centre referred the matter to it almost two years after she went lacking, officers stated on Tuesday.

The daughter of a labourer in Mohanpur village in Rewari district of the state had gone lacking on June 27, 2018 after she went out to buy some snacks. “There isn’t any information of my daughter since then. I had approached the ‘Lambardar’ who had prompt a CBI probe. I have no idea a lot. Has the CBI began its probe?” the woman’s father advised PTI over cellphone.
